'The Happy Housewife' was born in 2005 when
journalist, author and mother of five, Maeve Bradbury, discovered that blogging
was cheaper than gin and less tedious than therapy. Maeve read English at Oxford University and has a second honours degree in Humanities. She also has a post-graduate diploma in European Culture and studied periodical journalism with the National Council for the Training of Journalists.
She went on to work in PR, before becoming a freelance journalist. Her work has appeared in numerous national magazines and newspapers, and she has been asked regularly to speak on BBC radio. She has written two books, How to be a Domestic Goddess and M is for Mum, and is currently working on a novel. She has five children with her husband and they live in the Cotswolds.
